Contact at venue not responsive

We booked our reception with a hotel. Our contact was very responsive at first when I would send questions (before we booked), but lately, it takes 4 or 5 days, sometimes a week, before I hear back. For example, I asked her last week for some pictures of ceremonies at the hotel and her response was she would gather them and send them shorty. I am still waiting. I sent another email yesterday asking for them and nothing. I am not sure what to do. Should I have a meeting with her and bring up my concerns?

Re: Contact at venue not responsive

  • When is your wedding and how often are you contacting her?  After we booked I really only contacted my venue a few times. It might be better to condense everything to one email and send a list of questions.  Pictures of other weddings seems like a time consuming request.  Do they have anything on their website?

  • Have you tried googling "wedding photos <venue>"?  Not only did I find a ton of pictures of weddings at the venue I used, but it gave me a good look at a lot of local photographers.  I ended up booking one of the ones I found searching for photos at my venue.
  • I agree with condensing everything to one email and sending a list of questions.  Also, the venue may be extremely busy with other events which is why its taking longer than usual to respond to you.  Dont worry.
  • I agree with what everyone has said.

For us, we contacted the venue twice after signing contracts: once to ask for organist recommendations and the other to confirm our start times for rehearsal, wedding and reception. It took a few days for responses, but it was no big deal at all. The thing you're asking is not a vital question and, like @6fsn said, a time-consuming and (imho) kinda pointless request when Google images is available for your use.

  • I also think my venue contact is unresponsive, but I try to keep in mind that my wedding isn't the only thing they have going on. Just hang in there and try not to contact them unless it's really important.
