This is what the knot says on different last names

Is this correct?  I have two friends who were recently married and both decided not to take their husbands' last names. I read through the FAQ at the top of the page and someone said to put them on the same line on the outer envelope if they're married. I also would have thought Mrs. would still be appropriate, but it seems that's not the case.

Q.

How should I address an invitation to a married couple if the wife has kept her maiden name both socially and professionally?

A.

Address the invitation the same way you would address one to a couple who is living together but not married (in other words, any couple with different last names). Names are listed alphabetically, no matter which person (woman or man) comes first. The outer envelope should look like this:

Ms. Samantha Adams
Mr. Thomas Sullivan
12345 First Street
Anywhere, USA 11234

The inner envelope would read:

Ms. Adams and Mr. Sullivan
