Hey can you tell me the average price for a photographer is in northern New Jersey? Im just looking for basic price for all day shoot with proofs?

I'd say it ranges from $3,000-$10,000+.

Yeah I think around $3000 or a little under is the lowest you will find for someone reputable.

You can get a bit under. We're using Robert Wayne Photography. We plan to do albums, etc., and will be spending ~$3500. That said, his base package plus the DVD of images is only $2500. Jason Rhee is in the same price range.

I can't imagine spending more than $2,500 - $3,000 and getting nothing more than the DVD of images.

I am paying $3,800 for the package and then it is an additional $850 for the album. The package includes 2 photographers for the entire day with no limit on hours, CD/Flash drive with all images and the exclusive rights to the images. The album is 60 pages with 110 images included. That being said, he did have less expensive packages with either a limit on hours or a single photographer.

The videographer was an additional $1,500.

I used Aesthete Photographer and his prices are very fair. Around the $2000 mark with great photos and quick turn around. Tom, the owner, is great to work with and very responsive.

We looked at Tom. A very nice guy and a good photographer with prices below some of the other options that are often discussed here. We did feel that the quality of his work wasn't quite to the level of Photographers in the $2,500 - $3,000 range and his albums were of a noticably lower quality. He is good at his price but for us, we felt spending just a little more would get us a lot more.

I'm just making the point to the OP that pricing for photography is all over the place and they can expect a very different outcome when spending say $2,000, $5,000, or $10,000. So it really depends on your budget, how important it is to you, and the extent to which you see/appreciate the difference between one photographer's work and another.

I am meeting with Jason Rhee next Monday good pricing and out of all the websites I looked at he is was one of my favorites.
