Proof our Chicago Themed Favor Table?

Hi ladies, I'm starting to put some details together for pricing and to finalize budgets. We really wanted to do edible favors and I loved the idea of doing a fun candy/sweets table with hometown items featured. I'm just looking for feedback since this isn't final yet.

We will have small tote style bags for everyone to pick up and fill. I tried to select candies that were all wrapped so we didn't need to fuss with extra bags. The table will have

-Bottles of Goose island Root Beer (safe to send home with all our guests ie my underage cousins) (trying to think of a nice protective wrap for the bottle)

-Glazed and Infused mini doughnuts (in 4-5 flavors, pre boxed to make for easy pick up)

-Tootsie Rolls

-Charm Pops

-Lemonheads

-Mars mini candy bars (Snickers, Milky Way, Twix, 3 Musketeers)

ETA -mini bags of Garrett's Chicago mix and plain Caramel (This has been on my list forever. Not sure how it fell off)

Does this seem like a fun mix? Is there anything you'd remove or add? I know not everyone will take everything but I'm hoping we covered enough that everyone will be happy with at least 2 or 3 of the selections.

Perhaps a place like Binney's or a local liquor store would consider selling you some.

Your mix sounds fun. You won't be able to appeal to every taste. I would love a Junior Mint, personally!

Junior mints do sound good too. I also considered Dots cause I happen to love them. I wasn't sure how many items were too many.

I love candy tables! I think the popcorn would go the fastest if you leave it out. You might have to ration that, lol.

I'm going to buy extra of everything. I'd rather waste a little money or eat a lot of junk food after the wedding rather than have items be gone by the time the last guests get there. I think the doughnuts may go quick too.

I love it!

I grew up near the Ferrara Pan plant (Lemonheads). If you go to their shop, you'll get an amazing deal and also possibly find some products that will round out your selection, if you decide you need it.

@wandajune6 thanks for the tip! I drive past the plant on a regular basis and was going to go have a look. I bet you can't beat the quality cause it hasn't sat around forever.

We decided to nix the blow pops and added smallish boxes of Junior Mints and Dots. Not the little square Halloween candy boxes, but the slightly bigger flat rectangle box. And we also added those little packs of Wrigley gum in Double Mint and Juicy Fruit.

I really hope everyone goes home with a full bag!

Vosges is Chicago-based chocolate. Another option might be individually wrapped macarons from a local bakery (Vanille or Alliance, maybe?).
