It is Saturday!

And I'm bored. My best guy friend is out of town this weekend and next. My FI is traveling with friends today and I'm happy for him, because he is going to the soccer game. He deserved the break, but I'm feeling selfish and kind of wish he could google chat. I'm applying for more jobs, responding to emails, and goofing off. I'm looking at photographers and DJ's. 

We decided on a honeymoon! We are going to Sunriver and renting a cabin (with a hotub!).  We are going to spend the week snowshoeing, skiing (taking ski lessons together!), hiking and more. It will be a winter get away honeymoon and we are super excited! It allows us to save money to pay off his loans and spring for some extras at our wedding! :)

Anyone else doing something fun this weekend? I'd like to live through you.

    Oh your honey moon sounds awesome! Yay for hot tubs! I am not doing anything fun this weekend, because I am sick (for like the millionth time this winter, thanks two year olds that don't cover your mouths when you cough), but I did get some laundry done and I made a chicken pot pie for dinner with the leftovers from chicken soup I made earlier this week. So a semi productive Saturday considering I feel like death warmed over.

    Sounds like an awesome honeymoon! I feel under the weather due to my monthly visitor. I'm still going to go out though. FI and I are going to a bar. Apparently the bar is having some sort of promotion our friend is in. Whomever brings the most friends wins a free trip to Cancun. I actually hate this particular bar because it attracts a younger crowd, but I think a bunch of our other friends are going so it will be nice to see everyone. There's tons of other bars in the area so I'm sure we can just go somewhere if that place is too ridiculous. Tomorrow I want to go kickboxing, I'm hoping to feel well enough to workout since I took yesterday and today off.

    Sounds like fun. I was thinking of going running, but instead I'll probably make some popcorn and eat ice cream and rent a movie.

    I'm bored.  DH is now working nights and we are still  in temp housing.  I hate this holding pattern we are in.  In the meantime I'm by the fired drinking wine watching A Few Good Men.








    What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

    well it's almost 7pm here!

    Which I have to say it's odd going from Eastern to Mountain time zone.  I feel like I'm missing things.






    What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

    Quiet night at home.  Picked out bridesmaids' dresses for my sister's wedding.  The weather is crappy here, so I bought paint to paint my kitchen and new vertical blinds to put up.  I got one coat up, will do the second one tomorrow while I bake cookies for my FI to ship off to him on Monday.

    What an awsome HM that will be! I would kill for a hot tub right about now (…damn you, barre classes!).

    We just had a wonderful time visiting with a bunch of old friends at a long over due get together. Tomorrow we get to babysit my bestie's 2 month old baby girl & I may be more excited about it than I should be. She had twins and they've had a rough go of it (in & out of the NICU more than you'd wish on a new parent - any parent), so I'm happy to help, while also getting a baby breath fix. 

    And then tomorrow, I shall watch the Oscars. I'm a sucker for that glammed up crap.

    I love your honeymoon! I told my fiance I would be completely content seeing Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks, but he wanted to go international... 

    I wish I could indulge you with stories of excitement. I took a friend to a dealership today so he can finally replace his car that was wrecked months ago. I went to the gym. Found a pineapple in a drawer. And purchased my veil and cake topper. Tomorrow I'm getting a massage and getting table numbers together with a friend.

    I could take or leave Yellowstone, but holy hell ~ Glacier! THEE most beautiful place I've ever seen.

    I have a story! My friend and her boyfriend broke up this week so we took her out to help her forget. Well she got super drunk and decided she had to sing karaoke. So we track down a karaoke bar and she got up there and made a complete fool of herself. This is my friend who really likes Pink, so she got up there and sang "So What". It was.... Interesting.

    Thanks everyone for the HM compliments. I've actually been a little insecure about that. A few people asked and I told them what we were doing and I've had rude comments "Oh, well I guess if you can't afford Hawaii that's nice" or "Well then you don't have to get in shape for the honeymoon!" ah. people are rude. You guys are sweet :)

    And sorry I stopped responding, I totally crashed way early.
