Alterations Help!

Any suggestions for alterations?  I called the Wedding Shoppe but since I didn’t purchase my dress there I can’t use them.

a lot of girls on here have used Louise Kegley...

also, Sharon at Twin Cities Bridal Alterations.

I had mine altered out of state, so I can't offer any personal experience for someone here.

Wedding Shoppe no longer has in-house alterations, I believe... but they do have a list of recommendations!

That said, I can't say anything but good things about Louise Kegley.  She did a fantastic job on my dress and was very reasonable compared to what I've heard many other folks charge... for that reason, she is very popular and has a schedule packed with brides!  It can be a bit challenging to get ahold of her unless you call in the morning or later in the evening.  Your best bet would be to contact her during "off-season" if your wedding timing allows for it!

I used Amy Jane Stariha after seeing her recommended by someone who lived OOT and ended up needing last minute alterations a couple days before her wedding.  She did an amazing job and my dressed was finished within 2 weeks of taking it to her.  She does the alterations out of her home and is VERY reasonably priced.  If you live in the St. Paul area I would definitely recommend her.

YAYYY I'm so glad people are using Brenda from Amazing Alterations - SHE IS FABULOUS! You will LOVE her! Just a doll to work with, SO inexpensive and does just fantastic work!!! She is an amazing seamstress and I'm a huge perfectionist. I got everything done (8 pt bussle plus strap reconstruction) for under $80. She's amazing, I'd HIGHLY recommend Brenda! Tell her Lauren W sent you! :)
