So I'm a little stumped. My wedding is 2:30-3 ceremony, 3-4 cocktail hour, 4-8 reception. A full dinner will be served around 4:30. I didn't think anything of it and already ordered the invitations that say 2:30 and "reception to follow".
I keep reading people on here say have your wedding at 2pm if you want to get away with just serving cake & punch and not a full meal, because that's not a meal time. Now I'm a little worried if they see 2:30 on the invite they won't know it's a dinner reception....do I just spread that by word of mouth? (It's a buffet so there is no meal choice on the RSVP). I don't want people to stuff themselves beforehand thinking "oh it starts early so we'll prob eat dinner at home at 6-7"
