I'm having trouble finding a wedding band that fits well next to my engagement ring due to the contour of the ring shape. Anyone have a problem like this?
Yes. FI had a ring made for me, and of course, no stock wedding ring fits. I ended up getting a custom band made. You can go custom, or talk to a trusted jeweler and see if they have any suggestions. It's hard to be more specific without knowing what your ring looks like. Good luck.
My e-ring is low set, so most bands don't sit flush against it. I didn't like the look of curved bands so I am having a "normal" (straight) band custom made by the same designer that made my e-ring to sit flush against the e-ring.
I also had the same problem. Try different shapes of the contoured rings. I wasn't a fan of most contoured rings, but kind of liked this one from Zales.
It fit pretty good next to my e-ring (not all do) and it doesn't really look like an add-on contour ring, like some do, because of the twisting & curving throughout the whole ring.
My only problem with it was that I couldn't do the engraving I wanted on the inside of it. So, I found a plain low profile band that fits pretty good. There is a little bit of a gap, but its barely noticeable because the band kind of fits under the solitaire on my e-ring.
So, I would suggest just trying on various styles of contour rings, to see if you can find one that fits with your e-ring well and suits your style. If not, look for low-profile band. Or get one custom made.
I'm going to have the same type of issue because of the scrollwork on mine - I may just have an anniversary band that doesn't sit flush, as I want the option to just wear the band sometimes and not my tall e-ring.
