Currently, I have my eye on Casablanca 2129. It reminds me of the Barbie Solo in the Spotlight dress that came out in 1960. I always loved that dress, so I would love to wear one similar in white.
…but I didn't like the way it fit at all. Instead, I ended up falling in love with a different Packham gown (Eden in ivory), which I didn't care for at all in pictures I'd seen of it before trying it on. Go figure.
I tried on and fell in love with Maggie Sottero Bronwyn. Which was a problem because it was just a little more than I wanted to spend. I did find another dress I like (white by Vera wang) but I still dream about the Bronwyn and am looking to see if I can find it preowned and have my dream dress.
Never got to try either of them on. Went to Davids Bridal and a local boutique which doesn't carry Moonlight. I found at DB that the second one wouldn't have looked right on me. I have small shoulders so too much coverage made me look way to covered up and prudish (for me! the lace on the dresses looks so much heavier then a normal t-shirt)
I still think the first one would have looked great on me though.
My dream dress is Clare by Graceloveslace https://graceloveslace.com.au/collections/new-clare/ I wanted something custom made if I was going to shell out that kind of money...but in the end I wasn't sure it would look good on me (thought it might expose every fat roll) and there was no way for me to try it on. I wound up taking a chance and buying a dress for $200 online instead. Still wondering if I made the right decision.
I adored (and still do) Jim Hjelm dresses. I loved tho two lace dresses with straps below.
I also loved Maggie Sottero Anniston as well as another Maggie dress that is no longer on the website but it was a fit and flare with layers of chiffon all the way down the dress. I was actually scheduled to try on both Maggie's the same day as when I found my dress.
For the past year I have been in love with Gabrielle by Maggie Sottero. Right now I am adoring some of her other styles, including Venice, which unfortunately is discontinued. There are a few kicking around for sale, I'm just not really too crazy about the idea of buying something I can't try on first.
I love the Maggie Sottero Darci dress, I love all that satin...but I'm not having a big frou-frou day so the dress wouldn't survive the trip down the concrete walkway at the winery we're hoping to book.

@Jennycolada - my wedding is going to be tiny too (14 people including me and FI) and I'm still planning on getting this dress (Allure C269) <sorry if the image is huge>
Carolina Herrera Audrey & Monique Lhuillier (don't know the name, but 1st pic). I couldn't find the Lhuillier dress nearby, but I did get to try on the Carolina Herrera dress at a trunk show. It was outside of my budget, but I would have scraped together as many pennies as possible to pay for it. I would look at the picture all the time leading up to the appointment. When I finally tried it on, it just wouldn't have fit the venue or the season. It was amazing, but it was actually a relief that I didn't love it. It also helps that her trunk show sizes were like a size 4, because I just wanted to get it off of me. Ha! I ended up with an older Carolina Herrera style, but the bridal salon still gave me the trunk show discount. I fell in love with it, it was everything I wanted.
Dignity100Maggie0829 1, you're bad influences (hahaha), 2, I was only able to try on the dress once, and it was (obviously, as it was a sample) too big and I'm worried that it won't fit me right. Plus I'm pretty happy with the $300 Jcrew dress that I'm considering (and I'm thinking of getting it customized a bit by adding a layer of lace over it).
I think I just like the IDEA of the Cosette and wish I had somewhere to wear it in general. But I still consider it an option.
Maggie0829 I obsessed over the same Jim Hjelm dress, with the V-neck and sash! But ain't no way that was in the budget. :-p
Once dress shopping was really a reality, I didn't even let myself drool over anything that was out of my price range. I ADORED the back of this Allure one, but the salon wasn't getting it in stock until the week after I was there. I ended up with a somewhat similar one, although a bit more modest (even though it's strapless, go figure). Champagne with ivory lace, and I added a floral beaded belt. I do still dream about the V-neck one though. Sigh.
I was obsessing over the Alfred Angelo Belle dress. I love the way it looks but I only 5 feet tall and knew it would just swallow me up. I love the dress I bought

I'm currently in love with this new Mori Lee, Julietta. I really want to have a PPD so I can buy it.
