single life

In light of our up and coming nuptials,  I had a thought. What will you miss the most about being single? Of course I love my husband to be, but I cant help but say goodbye to my single life. For me its shaving my legs. Gross right? Lol, but seriously there are just times when I dontwant to do it! It keeps me warm in the winter(ok so they arent that furry). Shaving totally dries my skin out to the point of cracks and bleeding afterwords. Even applying lotion burns afterwords. So ill miss not having to shave my legs for 3 weeks without someone giving me a weird look. Whats it for you ladies?

Re: single life

  • Fi and I bought a house together about 4 years ago. I feel like we are practically married! So I don't remember what it's like to be single! ;)

we've been living together for a few years now, so i don't feel as though anything will change. But thing i do miss since moving in with him is alone time! he is home before me most nights of the week and very rarely goes away without me.  it sounds horrible but i love when he goes away for a night or a weekend and i get the house to myself.
  • Weve lived together awhile also, I just was thinking about how it was and what I miss.
  • I agree about the alone time. We live together now, and there are times when I get home from work and all I want to do is shower and go to bed. Not worry about what hes doing, what needs to be for dinner etc.
  • After living together for almost 2 years, I don't think much will change once we are actually married. I do sort of miss the unpredictability of being single. I would get home from work on Friday and have no clue what I'd be doing all weekend or who I'd be hanging out with. The routine of "married" life is comforting, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss all of the spontaneous, crazy adventures I had back when I was single.

  • I miss the alone time too! Sometimes I just want to come home, eat a bag of chips and binge on The Office!
  • My FI is not a tv person.  We have been living together since May, and the only time I don't get harassed (lovingly of course) about excess tv watching is when I'm sick.  I would love to just watch tv for an unhealthy amount of time without the comments when I'm perfectly healthy, but feeling lazy.

My FI likes to comment on the trashy reality tv I watch when he's not watching tv with me...he doesn't understand how I can watch it.  After working all day, coming home to make dinner/cleaning up I enjoy that mindless activity of watching something that requires no thinking!
