Picked a silver shoe orginally but looking at the venue I'm leaning towards gold. Both shoes can (and will) be worn with many items in my closet after the wedding. Which shoe is preferred? I realise the shoes are very similar but as I'm getting married in October, the gold is a slightly better coverage...

For an October wedding, I think the gold shoe is better. The silver shoe is more of a Summer shoe, IMO, because it is so open and kind of sandal-like

Silver fabric on shoes like that just always looks cheap to me.

I vote gold. Both are lovely, but the gold says "fall" more. And I'd probably wear a gold shoe more than a silver one.

Now I see why you are focused on the shoes, you have a shorter dress. I am personally more of a silver girl myself. But depending on what your wedding colors are would determine the color shoes for me. If you were going a softer lighter color or say gray, I will vote for silver. But if you are doing more fall colors I would go with the gold. I also couldn't tell how ivory your dress is in the picture, it's a true ivory, go with the gold.

I was going to ask the same as PP. IF the dress is white I'd lean towards silver.. but that's just because I like the 2 together but if you went with ivory I'd do gold. Silver is a cooler tone (and true white usually has some blue in it) and gold is warmer (like ivory).
