My cousin died two years ago at the age of 26. She was brilliant, gifted and full of life. She was doing scientific research that was saving lives. The world really did lose a great person.
One thing I didn't know about my cousin was that she regularly donated eggs. She didn't have any plans on being a mother herself, so she wanted to use her eggs to help people who couldn't conceive have children.
Well, her sister was just contacted by a family who received her eggs. They weren't supposed to know they were hers. Donation is supposed to be anonymous, but the person at the bank slipped and gave out her first name. That paired with information on her studies didn't make her too hard to find. They found her full name, then put the information away- since they weren't supposed to know. Fast forward to today. The family has two beautiful babies and wanted to look for her again. When they found she died they looked for us so they could share their miracle with us.
I'm seriously crying at my desk right now. It is just so amazing the things that happen!
