Mens after attire

Ok, so we have discussed whether alot of you ladies will be changing out of your dress or not after the ceremony.  Me, I am choosing to wear my dress for the ceremony and reception dinner and then I am going to look for a short all white sparkly club dress to wear with my veil and maybe a bride sash.  But what about your men?  Can men wear shorts and button up sleeves to the night clubs?  I think long sleeves and pants and tie would be too much for FI in the middle of the July.  What are you Fi doing summer brides?

Re: Mens after attire

  • Shorts would be a definite no unless you go to a small bar kind of place but as far as clubs so it's usually dress pants and a button up. Depending on the club sometimes the guys can get away with jeans but not shorts.

  • hmmm just looked at some vegas photogs....man guys have it rough in vegas.  Pants!?  I never even paid attention, and I have been a handful of times.  I blame booze
  • Lol yea they definitely have it harder then we do!

  • I usually wear dress pants and a button down fitted shirt to go clubbing; guys definitely won't get in dressing casual at the good clubs.  And if you're not dressy enough, don't be surprised to wait in line indefinitely.

  • Yea the last thing you want to do on your wedding night is to be stuck in a long line at a club in Vegas. If you have Facebook search for Angie Lim. She always takes care of me when I'm in Vegas!

  • Also for promoters check Bof Santos for Marquee, my fave club so far. Or talk to Angelika Promotions - it's a small business all about group events. I met the owner at a networking event, and she's really sweet.
  • We will definetly use a promoter.  Luckily we have a guy girl ratio that heavily favors the girls side, and pretty good looking group of girls IMO.

  • Talk to Chris from freevegasclubpasses.com  Sounds like a gimmick but he's actually legit.  We've used him a few times to get past the lines to clubs at places I don't have a casino host relationship.

  • We are using Chris to get us all into Voodoo on our bachelor/bachelorette night. I love the view there!

  • I forwarded Chris's info to the girl who is planning my party in vegas!

  • We've used chris before,, and he was great.  I have some club specific promoters we will probably use just because we don't have time to go to one of Chris' preferred clubs the first night.  We are really jammed packed with events.

  • Another great resource for people interested in getting in contact with club promotors is jackcolton website.  We used this last time to get into all the clubs, stripclubs and pool parties and not pay a dime on cover or waiting in lines.  My last trip was all girls, so that helps alot
  • Has Anyone been to Hakkasan? We are planning on going there but guys will need to buy a pre sale ticket that is 50.00. the ladies will all be free. But I've heard mixed reviews, mainly that since it is the newest club that it gets really packed and drink prices are high but that goes for any Vegas club. I've been to just about ever major club in Vegas except for Light and Hakkasan. I really really love the DJ that will be at Hakkasan the night of our wedding so I'm thinking we will definitely be going just want some input on the club :)

  • @Valeriecruz82 I'll be going sometime this month and will give you the full scoop! Hopefully I'll have some non-blurry, non-drunken pics. ;) Expect to spend at least $15 for well drinks and $9-$10 for beers, $6 for Red Bulls, or a minimum of $2000 for bottle service.

Who's the DJ? They have a pretty stellar lineup.

  • @cirena166 I can live with the high drink prices I'm used to the clubs that I go to in Hollywood having high drink prices. Plus I'm sure I wont exactly be sober by the time we get to Hakkasan lol I'm just worrued about the reviews Ive read that have talked about the dance floor being so packed you can't move. I need some room lol Hardwell is there the night I'll be going I'm so excited to see him!!! So many good DJs in Vegas the weekend we are getting married too!

  • @Valeriecruz82 Nice choice with Hardwell! From what I've seen at every other hot club (Tao, Lavo, Marquee, Haze, Bank) is that the main floor is packed. Bank has a nice alternative in their setup - they have a "balcony" almost all the way around the main dance floor so you can groove a little without people being all up on you. I'll check for areas like that at Hakkasan, but I can guarantee that if you want to be on the main floor, it will be packed.
  • My friend just went there do you want me to ask her?

  • Isn't the MGM where the Mayweather fight is?  I imagine that club in particular will be incredibly packed but I haven't been there so I don't know!

  • @shoebunnie I know I'm thinking the same thing. We might end up going to XS at Wynn depending on who is the Dj that night, but I really love the Dj that will be at Hakkasan just not looking forward to the crowds.
