Hello-o-o?

Anyone home?

It's been quiet around here lately.

Are y'all having wacky weather in your parts?  It's going to be a high of around 65 today and then it's supposed to snow tomorrow (up to 4in).  Winter just doesn't want to let us go.  I'm hoping that since it's been above freezing for the last week or so that the snow won't stick around too long.  We all can have our dreams, ha.

Re: Hello-o-o?

  • I'm here.  Between Girls Weekend hangover and the time change, my butt is dragging!

Our weather is kind of wacky too - was 45 yesterday and today we are expecting a couple of inches of heavy, wet snow.  I'm with you on hoping the snow won't stay around too long.  Our local weather guy said that we lost a foot of snow yesterday with the warm temps.

  • I don't know what the weather looks like moving forward, but I had to wear a coat leaving the house yesterday but when I left work, it was 71. My manager laughed because I wear wearing my Icelandic wool hat while leaving the building. No regrets.

Today, we have 60 patients and I'm hanging treatments and answering phones with only the new nurse, who is afraid of everything and shakes and cries constantly. It's gonna be a day. I'm gonna try to start doing my Japanese homework between things, but I doubt I'll accomplish much.

This week's just gonna be super long. I can't believe I have three days left to go :|.

    Blech.

I stayed home yesterday due to migraine/mental health needs.  I spent a majority of the day in bed, and then was stir-crazy for the afternoon.

Now I'm here at work, with a pile of things to do, but it's tasks that sit in other people's hands, and then once they're done with them I can roll.  Until then...I just anxiously wait.  :(

Weather?  What's that.  OH yeah, I don't even pay attention because it can change at any moment.  Whatever.  I'm over it.
  • By the way, this news story wrecked me last night and continues to make me laugh my ass off this morning: http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/03/10/cat-traps-oregon-couple/6274653/

My dad has a 23 pound orange tabby who also has a history of being an asshole, so I absolutely died upon reading this.

  • Boo to the migraine, O.

I just checked my schedule and my spring break week was approved!  w00t!  I was a little worried I wasn't going to be taken off the wait list and then would have to scramble for child care for DefConn.  Now I need to figure out some staycation stuff to do with the boys.  And I should make a plan of things to do around the house.  I'm sure some closets can be cleaned out or whatever.
  • Our weather was glorious yesterday and is supposed to be as well.  Of course, DH is now laid up with the flu.  Usually I'd just go bike riding w/out him, but the fever is staying high, so I get worried.  I'm not really sure what's in store for the rest of the week, I haven't looked.
  • Ha Juche!  They've been playing the 911 call on the radio this morning.  It's hysterical.

I'm in a kitchen euphoria.  We got the appliances today and I'm getting quotes for cleaning.  Granite templates today. I'm loving it.
  • Yesterday was a wonderful 56* and it's supposed to be 48ish today.  And we're supposed to get 1-3 inches tonight.  ::sigh::  I'm over complaining about it.  It is what it is.

I'm watching the window for the UPS man.  My Silhouette will be here today.  I'm just a little excited.

I also bought a whole bunch of stuff that seems to all be arriving on Thursday.  All together it's just over $200, so I shouldn't feel terrible, but I didn't really share with H that I did.

I should probably let him know.  Heh.
  • I agree, Taw.  No use in complaining.  I need to stop hoping every snow is going to be the 'last' one.  Ha.

We have a ton of salt still on our walk and driveway.  We contemplated sweeping it off, but we didn't and I'm glad.
  • I'm trying to debate if I want to tweet my congressman about a piece of legislation or if he'll just be an a-hole about it. I know, big deal. This morning was a mess and I'm tired. 6:30 am telecoms are no bueno.
