  I find that most of my friends are very aware that gifts are just that, gifts. They are not required at a wedding or to be expected. And you should most definitely not expect a certain amount to be given to you. That was until I was speaking with one friend and she was all, "OMG, Bobby and his wife only gave us $X which didn't even cover their plates. It's like I had to pay for them AND they didn't give us a gift."

  Vomit! I'd tell the greedy mom that there's a reason. I didn't attend her stupid shower nor sent a gift and it's because I don't like her because she's a spoiled little entitled bitch
