Yeah, I was reading about that today. I don't have it, but other customers are ticked because supposedly "Free Shipping," isn't really free. They just add it to the cost of the product.
I'm torn on this. We order a shitton of stuff from amazon because we live in a pretty remote location where you just can't find a lot of stuff or it costs an arm and a leg. Some weeks we have something show up from amazon almost every day. It's like the South Park episode haha.
IDK, we probably won't renew. Maybe we will. Can't decide if we spend that much on shipping every year. That, and lately a lot of things have taken a lot longer than 2 days to get here, though that probably has more to do with incompetent local mail delivery than with Amazon.
My renewal is in July but I will still pay for it. I use the streaming for my daughter's cartoons and I am beyond spoiled with their 2 free day shipping. It's worth it.
We'll renew. We use Prime a ton. And there is a warehouse near by so many times if I order something in the AM we have it next day. Plus, we use the free movies/TV. Prime has some stuff that Netflix doesn't. The additional $20 a year is less than $2 a year so it's fine. And honestly, there are still plenty of items cheaper on Amazon with Prime than what I could find in the store plus the selection.
Yeah I'll keep mine. Besides streaming and free, extremely reliable 2 day shipping, my time is money, yo!
I can run around everywhere burning fossil fuels and eating up family time looking for a not so common item all weekend and come up empty handed. Or I can do a search at 11:30pm, comparison shop, and hit order faster than I can fill up the gas tank for the stupid car.
And let's not forget Xmas presents for non- locals....
They don't actually add it onto the cost of the product, people were looking at the same items shipped by other companies that are not amazon. But once you go to the cart and add the item, their shipping costs pop up.
