This
idea came from my FI and wanted to know what other people thought. How would
you feel about going to a reception taking place in two different places? We're
looking to keep things in budget but still give everyone a good time. My FI
is a veteran and we're able to have a good party location at the local
American Legion. However, they are not sure if they have the kitchen/staff size
to cater a full buffet for our guest list (around 80 people). Through my church,
I was able to contact a local Amish farmer's wife who runs a restaurant part
time and would allow us to host a dinner there for all of our guests but she
doesn't have the space for a DJ or dancing unless we rented the whole
restaurant for the day (which I feel a little rude asking) My FI suggested
having the dinner at the restaurant and then inviting anyone who wants to back
to the Legion for dessert, snacks, music and spirits (they're about 15 minutes
apart). What are your thoughts?
