Venue Help - Germanic Institute, Summit Manor, or other St Paul Location?

Hi Everyone!  My FI and I just got engaged and would like to get married next September.  It seems a lot of the places I wanted to look at...Town and Country Club, St Paul College Club are booked already. Has anyone been to/had a wedding at Summit Manor or Germanic Institute?  Pro's and Con's?

    We seriously considered Germanic Institute. We didn't go with it because the dancing and dining areas are on different floors and we have a handful of guests with limited mobility. It's a really cool venue and the prices are reasonable. Definitely worth checking out. Both venues have beautiful lawns that would be great for an outdoor ceremony.

    Summit Manor was one I looked at that was definitely out of our budget, but we have a pretty low one.

    Could you get married on a Friday or Sunday in September instead of a Saturday? That might save you some money.
