Hi, I am going to host my own bridesmaid luncheon. I am having issues with the appropriate wording. The luncheon will not just be bridesmaids, I will also invite my mother, the mother of the groom, my brothers girlfriend, my fiances brothers girlfriend, as well as the greeters and the close friends that went to my bachelorette party.
My issue is, all of the invitations I am seeing say something along the lines of-Join us for a Bridal Luncheon Honoring ___Brides Name__ Hosted by ___Hosts__
I will be the host, so I do not want to have it honoring me, and hosted by me, that is crude. And I don't want it to be honoring the bridesmaids, because it needs to be honoring all of the wonderful ladies that are going to come.
Can I do "Honoring those making Maura's big day possible" hosted by Maura? or is that too wordy, or just wrong?
