In need of ideas to include twin brother in wedding!!

Hello everyone! I have a twin brother who i am very close with and am trying to think of a unique way to include him in the wedding. He will be a groomsman if nothing creative comes to mind. I thought of having him and my dad walk me down the isle but i don't want to take that moment away from my dad. If anyone has any ideas that would be awesome! Thanks!

  • There's nothing wrong with him being on your side instead of a GM. Other than that, maybe he can cut in on your father/daughter dance (if you plan to have one).

  • There are a bunch of options:
1.) Have him do a reading during your ceremony
2.) He could be one of your witnesses signing your marriage license (if you need witnesses)
3.) Have him be your "Man of Honour" and stand on your side. He could have a tie that matches the colour of your BMs
4.) Play a song that is important to you two during your reception and dance with him (Although don't make it a spotlight dance as these can get tedious if people have to watch you dance with many different partners- husband, father, brother etc).
5.) Get him a special gift for him to open before the ceremony and a note thanking him for his love/support.

It doesn't need to be a grand public display for you to just find a minute on the crazy day to tell him how much you love him
  • Totally agree with the above posters.  You could definitely have a brides-man to show that he is a special person in your life!  You could match his boutonniere to your bridesmaid flowers too, while the groomsmen matched a different flower from your bouquet.  You could even get him certified online and he could perform the wedding ceremony!  That would be a pretty special way to get him involved.
  • I have a twin sister, and I will be dancing with her instead of having a father/daughter dance. My father and I don't get along, but my grandfather is walking me down the aisle.  I want to dance with my grandfather as well, but it won't be a spotlight dance. So you can dance with your twin brother, as well, just have an open dance, so the spotlight dances don't seem so drawn out.
