Bored? What do you do?

So...work has been extremely slow the past couple of days and today I basically finished all I needed to do by 10:00. So I found myself on buzzfeed (surprise surprise). I realized that when I'm bored, I watch puppy stampedes and videos of cats talking? I'm strange.

What do you find yourself doing when you're bored at work or at home alone?

Extra points for Gifs : )

If you would like to share in my uncontrollable laughing, watch these:

  • I watch Netflix on my iPhone, Pinterest, pretend to be "working" since there's a lot of activity going on this week in the conference room next to me. This week has been incredibly slow here at work too.

  • @buddysmom80- There is a bunch of training going on here this week and all my consultants are OOT so I've had nothing going on. The weather is also beautiful here today so I'm getting really anxious about missing out on it.
  • I'm bored at work right now and on TK. I also get cheezburger.com, awkwardfamilyphotos.com, and youarenotaphotographer.com when I'm bored just to have a laugh. Unfortunately, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube are blocked on my work computer. Otherwise, I would be on them.

  • At work I come here so much of the good stuff is blocked at work.

When I am bored at home, which is rare lately. I go to pinterest or TK or I read.

At work: TK, facebook and twitter (not today--avoiding HIMYM spoilers like the plague), Feed.ly, Boston.com, Modcloth, and (if I'm really bored) WeddingWire. I also sometimes do some wedding planning or write journal entries.

At home: All of the above websites, but also YouTube and Netflix. I also sometimes reread books I've already read, or I'll play with birdo.

  • @Swazzle- I've been looking at puppy adoptions too even though we probably won't get one until June...I'm just so excited about it. I also want a cat but H hates cats...I think they're hilarious and H is a party pooper.

  • @swazzle, my childhood cat was all black. He definitely had (and still has, to some degree) a personality - he's convinced he's a human. Cats are awesome.

I want a dog, but it's too tough right now in our tiny city apartment with our busy schedules. Plus, we can't afford to have a pet like a cat or a dog right now. J never wants a dog because he thinks they'll always be too expensive, and because he loves having a bird. Booo I want a dog.

I should do that on April Fool's Day some year. So he thinks it's a joke except I don't do April Fool's pranks.

@TwoDimes - Aussie cuteness!!!! We have an Aussie. Any idea what coloring you want? Remington (Remi) is a Red Tri-Color. I can't even begin to describe how much we've fallen in love with the breed since we got our little man about 5 years ago! Image and video hosting by TinyPic

@TwoDimes OMG so cute! If you get an Aussie AND move to Atlanta you can bring your pup over to play with Cinders any time. The border collie in her has SO much energy. But we've noticed a significant improvement in her since we started running her on a regular basis. Also, there's a trainer locally who offers agility training classes and a Disc Dog group! One more reason to move to the Atlanta area. :)

At work, I usually end up on my phone if I'm bored - TK, FB, etc. My co-worker and I have also been known to start doing the Cha-Cha slide when it's exceptionally slow. Once, when we had literally one patient and no family members on the unit, a couple of us started writing a musical based on our job and presented it to the rest of the staff. It was ridiculous.

At home, I get on Pinterest, or I start cleaning.

  • I price out home improvements.

@phira hopefully you're having more luck avoiding the HIMYM spoilers than the episode of HIMYM where they were trying to avoid Super Bowl chatter ;)

  • TK or if nobody is watching I play Plants Vs Zombies. I also tend to research stuff. The geek in me is looking at setting up a Minecraft server using Raspberry Pi - so I was looking in to how much that stuff would cost me today. (I know you non-technical people read that as 'mumbo-jumbo-mumbo-jumbo - admit it!!)

Last night at the gym, I got there RIGHT in time for the episode to be on. I usually watch the TV screens while listening to music because I use an app for Couch25K, so it was really hard for me not to see anything. When I told J about it, he said it's too bad I didn't have the Sensory Deprivator 5000.
