Hope everyone enjoyed the photos! I still have to go through the "unedited/raw" images- side note, my photographer did one image of me edited in "portrait professional" all I can say is I got Kartrashianed in that thing. It's really an eye opener into what editing can do and create a false perception.
Had a meeting with Big Boss yesterday- she found out about another position I'm looking at, and isn't upset, but wants to make sure that as a young attorney, I weigh all the options and figure out what's best for me. She's intimidating most of the time, but I don't think she's completely aware of that.
I think what will be best for me is to stay in my current position. DH finishes his undergrad degree in a few weeks, and is potentially starting a masters degree later this summer. I'm applying for a fellowship to cover tuition for an online masters program that I hope to start in August. Staying in my current position for another 2-3 yrs now is a good idea.
DH and I had discussed looking into purchasing a house. It would be a cheaper monthly payment than our rent, but we'd be stuck with a mortgage, potentially unable to sell the place, or rent it out, and that's a problem if we move in a few years. We're staying where we are.
In the interim, DH seems to have some pricier tastes. We have a futon in our small living room. He wants us to get a couch or sectional so we can both sit/lay comfortably on it, and move the futon up to the office. We still need to finish the deep cleaning of the house, and reorganize stuff. He also wants new night stands (instead of the two folding tables), and a front entryway table. I'm trying to encourage floating shelves. Normally a few new furniture pieces wouldn't be a big deal, but the last time we discussed a new dining table and/or bed frame, he went out and bought them without me getting to see them first, and paid a ridiculous amount of money for them. He's since learned that this is a bad idea, and will consult me in the future,
So yeah, some randoms. DH made me dinner! And now I'd better go back to cleaning. With my glass of wine.
