Curacao?

We just got married on Saturday, and now ready to start planning our delayed HM!  We've been looking into a few different places, but Curacao really has sparked my interest.  

If you've been, could you tell me a little bit about your experience?   We're considering Sunscape, Renaissance, and Marriott Beach resorts.

    We stayed at Breezes, which looks to now be Sunscape.  Can't comment on Sunscape specifically, but when it was Breezes, we had a nice time.  We read recommendations and requested a room in their 2 story building beachfront, not the towers.  I remember we loved the location.  I tried to look now to see what that building is called, but it's not labeled on their resort map.

    While there, we rented a car and went to Christoffel Park, Boca Tabla, Hato Caves, Playa Lagun, Ostrich Farm, etc.  Great place for snorkeling and diving.  We went into town a couple times....I think the hotel had a shuttle.  Also, we went in June and it was HOT.....the sun is strong down there.  If you want any additional info, let me know.  Good luck!

    I've been there and had a good time, but I would advise you to consider instead the U.S. Virgin Islands:  St. Croix, St. Thomas, St. Thomas.

    It might be helpful if you could provide insight into WHY you advise these other specific islands?

    Thanks @JoanE2012. We are strongly considering Sunscape. 

    @VerizonGirl, H and I have been to those islands. Why do you recommend them over Curaçao?

    Curaçao is my fave island. St Thomas is my least fave. St. John is my 2nd fave. While all are islands they're all different. Curaçao is desert, st t and j are lush. We stayed st the sea aquarium resort, rented a car for the week and went all over the island. I'm not sure of the resorts you mention but the island in the whole was super fun.

    Our honeymoon is Aruba then to curacao.(7/29-8/12)...heard nothing but great things about both places
