Budget Meet and Greet Suggestions

I am looking for some ideas for a budget meet and greet idea...  We wanting to do something fun with our guests the evening before our wedding.  I was thinking about doing an activity as apposed to a meal option.  I had looked into the Double Decker Bus but unfortunately they are booked from 7:00 pm and on that night.  Does anybody have any suggestions as to what we could do with about 30 of our guest?  Nothing to wild and crazy, just something for everybody to get to know each other prior to our wedding.  We are getting married at Caesars Palace so a lot of our guests will be staying in that area so preferably something within that area and under about $1000.  Thanks for your help!

Re: Budget Meet and Greet Suggestions

  • Before we decided to do an in suite meet and greet we considered hosting everybody for bowling at the orleans or the new Brooklyn bowl at the linq (opening 2014). That would have been very budget friendly. How about renting a big party bus instead of the DDB and perhaps taking your guests to fremont street?

What about going to see a show together? A lot of the Cirque shows have 25% discounts for groups over 12, and some of your guests might want to see one and be willing to pay their way ...
  • @mismo14, I tried to get in contact with new Brooklyn bol at the linq to get a quote about reserving like 4-5 private lanes or whatever and have not been successful- did you actually get a quote or know a contact?
  • Thanks for the advice ladies.  I am looking into how much it would cost to do a group tour for the Neon Museum.  I can keep anybody who is interested posted...

I'd love to know what you find out.  They've been jacking the price up on nearly everything lately; one hour photo tour for just a couple went up to $400 I think.

  • We planned on doing the DDB and it was booked too, I'm sure it will be a Godsend since it's gonna be HOT in July.  We ended up booking 2 hours in the limo bus which holds 28 people, they are going to take us to the sign and still debating on where else we will go.  I am going to pick up a sandwich tray, mini cupcakes and beer for the ride.  We are only paying $155 (including tip) for the limo.  I couldn't pass it up, sounded like fun!! :)  ~ Our limo is through AWG Ambassador.

I got an email back from them mentioning that they will host private events however they need to get a bit closer to opening before they can provide quotes. I had a look at their NYC packages which are reasonable. Im assuming this one may be similar as they will be using the same caterer. You should follow them on social media for updates.

  • The above post is the information that I was given for a tour of the Neon Museum.  They were really nice and very quick to respond to my questions but to be completely honest, it is more expensive than I was hoping it would be!
  • Any updates on the price for the Brooklyn Bowl? I was looking to do something like this after our wedding reception...
  • Hey @lisaosumarie I actually got an email back from brooklyn bowl about a private party. They charge $100 to reserve each lane and then charge a $50 pp minimum for food and beverage. Their food looks pretty good too!
  • For something totally goofy, what about the KISS Mini-golf just off the Strip, or a trampoline gym?
