Monorail?

Has anyone or will anyone use the monorail on their stay? I was considering getting our guest weekend passes seeing that our group is very very diverse, I know my dad and his wife will be renting a car but no one else has made transportation plans to my knowledge. I thought It would be a great little thank you gift, and they could see the strip without wording about transportation.

Re: Monorail?

  • We use the monorail sometimes, it's very clean and prompt.  It's really only worth it if you are traveling up on the down the strip on the MGM/Harrah's side...otherwise it just ends up being a lot of extra walking.

For example, if we are staying at the Mirage and want to head down to MGM and stop at Flamingo on the way, it's nice because we can walk across the street to Harrah's and jump on there, pit stop at Flamingo and back on to MGM.  But if you wanted to use it to go from Mandalay to Palazzo, you'd have to first get to MGM, get off at the Harrah's stop and walk the rest of they way to Palazzo.

We had our dream wedding at Mirage on May 3, 2014!

  • Thanks for the input
  • I've never used it on my visits, I've used the free aria and mirage ones but never had a need to use the actual monorail service.
  • I used it alot and never had problems but as far as getting many tickets -I was on the fence cause it's a added expense. If it's in your budget go for it. I choose to do more food at my recep instead
