Hey folks! I'm new to the board and getting married in less than thirty days... This is my second (his first) wedding and I'm looking forward to this being a fun event. Any thoughts on a drive thru (if so, which one do you like) or an on-site held on Fremont Street?

I look forward to your feedback!

Cheers!

Re: Drive Thru vs. Fremont St wedding

  • My brother got married at the Viva Las Vegas chapel on LV Blvd but north of the Strip. He drove in to the chapel in a huge pink Cadillac with Elvis. It was hilarious! They got out of the car to actually do the ceremony, but it was a perfect start for them because my brother is a classic car fanatic. There's a drive-thru chapel just south of there but I'm blanking on the name.

Fremont (just one e) is incredibly busy, so you'll have a big crowd to watch your special day. There are a lot of buskers, costumed folks and beggars, and there are often concerts on the weekend, so plan your event with that all in mind.

Just a wierd idea, totally off the cuff...the swimming pool at the Golden Nugget on Fremont has a shark tank. If you're looking for something wierd, fun, and goofy, getting married with sharks in the background could be hilarious.

  • Thank you! I love it when I make obvious spelling errors... oiy!

  • @Canuckgirl306 Not obvious - lots of people just hear it and never see it, natural mistake. :) The drive-thru chapel I was thinking of is A Little White Wedding Chapel: http://www.alittlewhitechapel.com/
