HELP!- Addressing save the dates

I am having trouble figuring out how to address my save the dates. They are postcards and fairly casual. How should I address a save the date to a family?!

Is "The Smith Family" okay?

Or "Mary and John Smith" with "Jessica and Michael" underneath it?

There isn't enough room to write out the last names for each child. It is hard to find a clear cut answer online. Any suggestions??

    All personal mail should be addressed the same way, with proper names and titles.  I don't worry about the children until it's time for the actual invitations.  Remember, everyone who gets an STD MUST get an invitation, so be careful!

    Mr. and Mrs. John Doe

    Ms. Jane Doe and Mr. John Doe

    Ms.Sarah Smith
    Mr. George Jones

    I don't believe that titles are always necessary, especially for an informal save the date. The vast majority of mail I get on a daily basis doesn't include a title, so I think this is a "rule" that has softened over time. Addressing to "The Smith Family" or "The Smiths" is appropriate, and I did find it necessary to state families on STDs so they had plenty of advance notice that their kids were, in fact, going to be invited.
