Food

I'm very interested in what everyone is doing for food at their reception... Interesting restaurant catering, food truck, buffet style, so on.. I love getting ideas and inspiration!

Re: Food

  • I'm doing buffet at More Buffet @ the Luxor. They have two private banquet style rooms. Pricing is very reasonable. I was going to use drago sisters for my cake but they do not allow outside food vendors.
  • We are having our reception at wicked spoon in the cosmopolitan. They have a private room, and the prices were really reasonable for what they pffer. $38 pp and $10 for unlimited house wine. We have a very wide variety of dietary needs and so we knew we wanted to do a buffet and I like wicked spoon better than arias. Plus, a lot of our guests have free meals to most mlife hotels and buffets from playing my vegas so this gave a variety.
  • We are having an in suite reception for our ever shrinking wedding party. Firefly is catering.

  • I'm doing a lunch in a private room at the café Bellagio. I wanted to keep my guests from having to set foot outside in July. Should be between 30 to 45 pp which isn't too bad and it's Bellagio so I'm sure it will be awesome
  • We're having our ceremony/reception @ a private home on TPC Golf Course.  We're having sushi buffet catered by Sushi Twister. Booze from Lee's Liquor.

we just finalized with masterpiece cuisine.  We worked with Tammy....she was nothing less than awesome.   Can't wait to eat all the food.   Great pricing.   Ended up around 33 for 35 people.   can't complain.
  • We are having food catered by the hotel property (Silverton Casino) and we are doing a buffet. We wanted to do an In n Out food truck later but go figure they only do two counties in California! Our entire evening takes place kind of late (dinner at 7pm) so we figure we are okay without the late night snack. Though I have heard there are some DELICIOUS food trucks here in Vegas!

  • We had an in-suite reception at MB. Masterpiece Cuisine did our catering. We ended up spending about $1200 for 43 people, and that included tax, service charge, and tip.

We had six heavy apps, like sliders, steak rolls, etc, so while it wasn't a "meal", there was definitely enough food to fill everyone up. We also had fruit and veggie trays. We didn't run out of food, but we didn't have a ton of leftovers either. It was perfect. MC was really good at estimating exactly how much food we'd need.
  • we are having a in suite reception

  • We are having our reception at RiRa's Irish Pub located inside Mandalay Bay. We have been working with Paula and she has been AMAZING. We are having a buffet style meal. I ordered my cake from Freeds Bakery and they have been great to work with as well!
  • Ours will be a cocktail reception and seated dinner in the back room and courtyard at Aureole at Mandalay Bay. Their menus look great, and we will do our cake through MB/restaurant catering. That is the only item I am meh about - a bit limited because of policy but cake is cake in the end, right?

    Happy planning!
  • Those are all great choices! I will say the in n out truck idea is amazing I wish they had that here
