Double Decker Price Difference

Hello all!

I am still trying to figure out our transportation from Flamingo to Maggiano's with a little touring in-between. We are preparing to have around 40 people, and had planned on using the Double Decker Bus. I just received a quote from them for two hours and it was $445... this seems higher than what others have mentioned on this board. Am I incorrect?

I do have a quote form LD tours for more than $100 less (for a three hour rental), but wanted to see what other people are getting back quote-wise.

Thank you!

Re: Double Decker Price Difference

  • I heard they raised their prices... I would not book with them we had a really bad experiance. For as much as they charge the buses should at least be clean the seats where filthy and the owner/driver was a total ass.

  • @thesepinkdays, after seeing your review, the price increase, and needing it in December, I definitely am having a hard time justifying the DDB experience! The LD tours contact has been so nice and the price is SO much better! I was shocked when I saw the DDB price yesterday! I was expecting a couple hundred dollars less than that given reviews here.

  • Yes they have raised their prices.  I had my heart set on the DDB and alot of my guests were really into the idea, but then when I called the guy was a huge prick to me.  He started off acting like he wanted to be really helpful, he gave me  website to check out I was following along clicking on the links, step by step as he talked to me and it ended up being a weather website.  He wasn't being helpful he was being sarcastic and talking to me like an idiot, unfortunately I went along with it for longer than I should have. I told him in the email I knew the weather could be 100+ in July, but at 10pm all we were looking for was a ride to the vegas sign and a ride to a from freemont, so a majority of the time wouldn't have been spent on the bus.  I wanted the DDB for about 4-5 hours.  I will not give my money to someone with that kind of customer service.  We are now looking into a shorter trip with a party bus, just waiting on a better picture of how many guests we can expect.  I got a quote from LD and the pictures they sent were of a regular bus and we are looking for a party bus style.  Same with presidential but maybe that is because our max group size is quite large.  If we have closer to 30 people (which i think will be more likely) we can get more quotes for small party bus/coaches.

  • @a13049, that's awful! There is no way that I want to book with DDB now... that's so offensive!

I would love a party bus as well, but with the 40ish people we are looking at I can't find one that will fit everyone on one bus and not have to break up the party!

Ugh, I'm sorry you had to go through that. :-/

  • Recent review as I have also been apprehensive "This bus was PERFECT for my family reunion in Las Vegas this past June!!!! Mike Rossetti - Our guide and driver - was AMAZING!! We enjoyed our ride (about 60 of us) from our hotel to downtown Fremont Street!! He cares about his passengers and felt like part of the family! We were able to have our own music (has IPOD capabilities)which was wonderful because we had a mixture of young and older family members - - We were able to play a lil' sumthin' for everyone!!! Judy Rossetti gave OUSTANDING customer service all throughout my booking/reservation process right from the jump- -She was so kind!!!! I felt like I could ask her anything... and I did!!!! I highly recommend them to large groups looking to see the Las Vegas Strip!!! THANK YOU DOUBLE DECKER BUS OF LAS VEGAS!!! You helped make my 2014 family reunion a success!!!!!!!!"
  • What is LD you are mentioning?
