What to do after the reception???

Hi all, I've tried to find past posts regarding this as I'm sure it's been asked several times before.....

There will be only 8 of us at the wedding/dinner and we will be looking to kick on after the reception for some drinks.

I'm thinking of heading to a casino for a few bets and i'm sure I will be feeling lucky and then onto a bar. Not really sure I want to go to a nightclub as I'll be in my dress but a lively bar with some good music and drinks would be great. I don't really want to be running up and down the strip, does anyone have any idea of where we should go? I've been looking online and I can;t seem to come up with anything.

Will I need to book a table in a bar? It will be a Tuesday night in July so it's not a busy Saturday night but I would imagine Vegas will still be fairly busy in July.

Any help will be greatly received! Thanks all.

Dee xx

  • You could head to New York New York where you could hit up the Piano Bar for some entertainment/music or Nine Fine Irishmen or even Coyote Ugly... All pretty good alternatives to clubbing.

  • Go ride the Linq.  That looks like fun.

  • we are getting married in July also:)

  • Venetian has the Bourbon Room, great 80s/90s music and they have an MC.  Its more a lounge feel than a club, but fun to dance and have some drinks.

Paris and Harrahs also have piano bars, depending on where you are having dinner.

  • I've not been but what about Fizz, Cleopatras Barge or the Seahorse at Caesars.
  • Fizz is ok. It's a pretty small room. They don't really have room for live entertainment if that's important.

Cleopatra's barge has been re-named The Gossy Room (but it still has the barge) and has Matt Goss live on the weekends. I'm not sure that it's open during the week. The Seahorse has a big aquarium but is very mellow. If you're looking for something with a little oomph at Ceasars, I'd suggest the Shadow Bar instead.

  • These are great idea guys....I'm thinking maybe go to Cesar's. I know the buys want to gamble and us girls can always sit in the bars!

  • If you want good people-watching, head to Wynn's Parasol Up. It's not much for music, but it's close to the entrance for the nightclub, so you get to see a little bit of everything, and you're right next to the casino floor as well.
