This morning has been incredibly stressful. I need some happy thoughts. So, share something that’s making you smile today?


When I was walking my dog this morning we passed this adorable little girl and her mom walking to school. The girl came up to my dog (didn’t even look at me) and started talking to him.

Little girl: What’s your name?
Me: His name is Dave.
Little girl: Can I pet you, Dave?
Me: Sure, he’s friendly.

So she petted him a little bit and looked SO happy and then she said, “Okay bye Dave, I hope you have a good day.” Seriously the cutest thing ever.

    @Lalalaurita- That is adorable! I love it when kids talk to animals lol.

    Something that has made me smile today is this article that my CrossFit gym posted. Unfortunately, when we do jump roping or box jumps the ladies tend to maybe spray a leak. This happens to me when I jump rope but it's not full out pee on myself, it's like a tinkle.

    Well, I found out today that it's not only me but a whole bunch of women! I'm not alone in my embarrassment!! That article made me laugh.

    I'm not having the greatest day ever - the story about Dave made me happy though. 

    • Loki slept on the bed last night - I love when my dogs sleep on the bed (especially Loki just because it's rare for him, Nessie usually sleeps on my feet).
    • The cat did NOT sing me the song of his people.
    • I got to sleep in a little bit because I work the 'late shift' tonight (11-8).
    • I have cadbury cream eggs waiting for me at home
    • I got caught up on Revenge and Once Upon a Time this morning


    The things that didn't go well:  I didn't get my reservation to Disney's Be Our Guest restaurant - it's booked for the entire week I'm there!  I'm hoping a reservation opens, but I don't expect it.  I'm also still waiting for a call from Disney's Yachtsman Steakhouse (that's where I want to have my reception/dinner).  Nothing huge, just a bummer.

    @lalalaurita, is yours the dog who is occasionally referred to as "Sir David Dogglesworth"? Because if so, that makes me smile more often than would be considered strictly reasonable.

    I'm smiling today because:

    -There is a very great likelihood that I will get to see Lindsey Stirling live in June
    -I met some great people at the clinic I volunteered at today
    -This dark rainy weather is absolutely perfect for me today, because I need to go to sleep in a little while to get ready for night shift
    -It's spring break and I feel relatively human this week!

    @CLoGreenEyes Yes, but only when he's behaving in a dignified manner. So when he's begging for food at the dinner table or scratching his butt I just call him Dave.

    @psychbabe314 - happy belated birthday!!! I'm kind of bummed because it was snowing today. Blah! My happy was enjoying some peanut butter swirl ice cream just now. ETA: also my BF said as we are watching Jeopardy tonight about one of the contestants "why do I have a feeling that woman's vagina is 100% natural?"
