At least it's Wednesday?  :)

DH's interview went well, but the job doesn't sound so great...so....yeah.  Looks like we're moving, ha.  I'm hoping for less mixed feelings after our trip next week.  Right now, I want to find the 'off switch' for my brain and then take a nap. I think it doesn't help that everyone is giving us a ton of well-meaning advice.

Thank goodness the kiddo doesn't seem to affected by all of this stuff.  I don't think it will be 'real' to him until we're pulling out of the drive and he's saying goodbye to his friends.

DefConn's being a pain lately, but he's three.  We had a wrestling match over pants this morning.

I already opened a bag of Easter candy.  ;)

Do you have an idea where you'll move? So much to think about and so little control.

ah, pant wrestling.  good times :-P

I think your filter should turn all advice into 'have some wine.  and a nap"
  • We have an idea of where we want to move.  I know a couple people in the area and they've been wonderful about helping me with area information, best schools, towns, etc.

At this point, it comes down to the offer.  We have a good handle on a number that we need to move and be comfortable.

If we move, I'm probably going to SAH for at least 6 months, but it's likely I won't return to full time work until DefConn is in school (maybe longer).  I don't even know if I'll work part time after 6 months.  Lots of mixed feelings with that too.

I can't even think about leaving my job/team/company without wanting to cry.
  • And my well meaning advice...apply the wine and nap filter

If that doesn't work, NyQuil martinis

How long will you be up there next week?

We're leaving as soon as the kiddo gets on the bus (he's staying with our neighbors), so we'll get there about lunch time.  We'll probably leave late morning/early afternoon the next day.   We're going to find some houses to drive by, find the malls, gyms, grocery store.  We may even drive out to Lake Michigan (only 1/2 hour from the area).
