Winter Wedding

Hi Ladies!

I am getting married at Saint Clements on February 19. 2011. We have some time but I am getting nervous because we are struggling to find a photographer who is good but not too expensive. Im sure many of you have had the same issues, but I was looking for some suggestions on photographers. We want to do our engagement pictures this spring so we can send out the save the dates over the summer, but Im not sure if this is actually going to happen!!

Also, just a fashion question: Our colors are Navy blue, white, and silver...I was thinking maybe for my something blue I would wear some fabulous navy pumps and my girls would wear silver shoes under their navy dresses...any ideas? Does this sound ridiculous??

I have heard a lot of great things about HK, but they were already booked for my date so I do not have any personal experiences with them. I just booked Prestige Barkley for my wedding and they gave me a fantastic deal. It really depends upon what you consider to be too expensive.

We are using MJS Photography and got a great deal for a photography and videography package which includes the rights disc, an album for us, 2 parent albums, and prints.

I'm in a similar boat- we are JUST so close to finalizing the venue so once that is all set, I am going to run RAMPANT among photographers I liked at shows or were recommended on here.

And I love the idea for your shoes, I want to do soemthing similar and have really fun colorful shoes with my dress! I also may be partial, because I love silver- so If I was in your wedding I would love having silver shoes

(Still bitter for having to go to the ends of the earth to find "BRONZE" -yes bronze shoes for a wedding I was in)

my photog was pricey, so i probably can't help there, but i think navy and silver shoes is an awesome idea! i love colored shoes under your wedding gown...i wore pink since that was 1 of my colors

i'm thinking of wearing red shoes since thats my accent color. I think it also makes for awesome pictures.

i'm using raw photo design, his prices have gone up but I felt that photography was worth it.
i've heard great things about hk / robert and kathleen / robert norman ....but I have no idea on their pricing since I only looked at raw photo.

Love the shoe idea, I'm a big fan of colored shoes, mine were red!

Also keep in mind that you can do engagement pics with a different photographer than your wedding photog. I know some photographers offer engagement sessions with their packages, but if you want to get your e-pics done but not feel rushed to commit to a photographer, you have options.

I love your colors and the shoes idea!! My photographer is not a professional wedding photog (he used to be but now does commercial stuff) so I probably shouldn't recommend him to you. A lot of the girls are using HK, Raw which I love the pics!
