This is the gown that I have currently.

After buying this blusher, I'm starting to not like the blush color on the lace, and instead am wishing that I did a plain white gown with blush details instead (a blush sash as well as the blusher).

I'm 6 months out from my wedding, so I've been checking PreownedWeddingDresses.com and found some styles that I like in pictures.

I like the look of having the soft tulle on bottom.

I guess I'm just curious on what you think of the look of those styles? I am worried that I'll buy something and HATE it. But really my only qualms previously about getting a "plain" white dress was that it felt so…boring. But now with the idea of getting a colored sash and my blusher I feel like that's enough color for me and am thinking that my current dress is too color-overboard for what I like.

I prefer your dress by a long shot. Can you try the dress on again and play around with different accessories? Maybe you'll fall in love with it again.

I have it, so I've tried it on a few times. I am not a big fan of the straight cut on the chest, and would prefer something more sweetheart (I am going to look into getting it altered like that though).

The main drawback is, and you can't see it from the pictures, there are a few flower/butterfly embellishments on the dress. They have sparkles. It reminds me of dresses that I wore when I was 14. These embellishments are sewn on to the tulle, so I don't think that they can be taken off without ruining the tulle.

But even with all that, I just don't know if I'm liking the color of it. I tried on dozens of dresses before I even found this one, nothing really felt right.

Jenny, your dress is beautiful and you liked it until you added the blusher. Perhaps the blusher is the problem? Also, the flower embellishments are small and so sparse, they don't make your gown look like a child's dress. As far as the straight cut on the bodice, you can have a sweetheart, but if you're a size 4, then the straight across would broaden you, which wouldn't be bad in your case. You can consider too, a dip or slightly curved bodice. My last thought is why would you change from a new dress that you own to a used one that you haven't even tried on? Sometimes our first choice is the best choice!

I think that I like the blusher more than the dress.

As for going from a new to a used dress: I just don't really care that much. I want to look pretty and I want other people to look at me and think "she looks pretty", but other than that I don't have any strong ties to a specific image or "look". Although I do kind of like the idea of wearing Vera Wang. Haha. But I'm not going to pick a dress just based on label. Partly, though, I do kind of like the story of having another bride wear the same dress. I think it's kind of romantic in a way! I'll probably donate my dress when I'm done with it so it'll be like the Sisterhood of the Traveling Dress. :P

Could you maybe try a different blusher?

I like your dress way better than the 2 you posted.

I get what you're saying about your dress reminding you of another dress. I absolutely did not want a basque waist because that's what my prom dress had. Guess what I ended up with!!

If you are unsure, I would go to DB and AA and check there. I think you want to try the dress on with your accessories.

I'm not saying you shouldn't buy a different dress, but the ones you posted done compete with yours at all (in my opinion). Maybe you should go try on more dresses and see what happens. But don't buy anything used that you haven't been able to try on.

I like your current dress MUCH better than the options you posted. The other ones have too much tulle. Not my style. Reminds me of tutus.

I also believe that the first choice is the best choice. You can try on more dresses and compare those with each other, I think you will make your final decision.
