So, I'm going out to dinner with one of my girlfriends tonight. She wants Mexican. We were talking about a particular restaurant around here named El Mariachi. She was using talk-to-text, and Siri decided that it should be Almer Hatchee. I just about peed my pants. I will now NEVER be able to say the name of the restaurant again without saying Almer Hatchee. 

What are some technology/autocorrect/other fails you've experienced lately?

    And @GoldenPenguin - there are some places/things I never call by the real name because of hilarious typos...if you can pronounce the typo, then it seems to stick!

    Hahaha! Almer Hatchee. Love it!

    I haven't personally failed, but I did have a guy hit on me at the bar bragging about how he works in PR for the Houston Texans. I asked a lot of questions about what he did (he teaches players how to talk on camera, you know, because he just graduated college) I then name dropped the director of PR and the guy who is responsible for all the filming. I said it was funny he didn't know any of them, because my husband, who works for the Texans, too, is in a different department and knows these guys. 

    He promptly walked away. 

    Mr. Guy At The Bar, if you're going to hit on a girl by saying you work for the NLF, make sure it's one who knows nothing about professional teams and their staff members. And don't hit her to get her attention. #pickuplinefail

    FI texted me once and meant to say "we are living la vida loca" but it autocorrected to "We are living libido loca". I DIED. We still laugh about it and its been a year and half since.

    I haven't had any autocorrect fails yet but there will always be one that sticks in my mind forever!

    When I was in college, I joined a sorority so at the beginning of my freshman year when I first joined my cell phone didn't recognize the word sorority when I would text it. So, the first word autocorrect would replace the word sorority with was Prostitute...I would lose my mind every time it would happen. 

    Also recently, my little sister celebrate her bday. @LaPeanut1018 and I like to call her Krissy Poo as a nickname. Well the other day when I was texting her about her bday, my phone autocorrected her name to be Krispy Poo. That took a while for me to get over lol.

    A coworker texted me to let me know that he was running a little late and I went to respond "ok np" (short for no problem). The texts look like this thanks to autocorrect:

    CW: Hey, missed the earlier train so I'm running late. Be there soon.
    Me: Ok no
    Me: No
    Me: No
    Me: NP******

    I LOVEEEEE knowing more than guys about sports. When I was dating, many dates didn't go past #1 because of sports knowledge. BF can put me in my place, so it works ;)

    OMG I am DYING at my desk right now!! I don't have very many good ones but I have one from my single days that we STILL use. My BFF was hammered and she kept trying to text me. I kept getting "I luff you sheqry" I'm still Sheqry in her phone lol

    One of the first texts I got from FI (circa 2007) went like this "Thanks so much for picking up stuff from the cleaners. You are so sweat." I die laughing every single time I think about it.

    I meant to text my sister "Are you home?" because I was wanting to see my nephew. Instead, it autocorrected 'home' to 'good' so my text said "Are you good?" and my sister was like, "umm...yes?"

    One of my friends was texting me and trying to call me a name. It came out as 'nomad'. She still calls me that.

    Once when I was out of town I text my bf  "What are you up to?" he said "Oh nothing, just watching Kay Leon's garage."    I said "I don't know what that is.." he said "You don't know what Jay Leno is?"  as if I should have gathered that from Kay Leon.
