Royal Manor or Brownstone bride???

Hey guys, Looking for any brides that have had their wedding in the glass conservatory at the Brownstone or at the Royal manor. I'm planning a quick wedding for this August 2014 and have come down to these two venues. I really cant decide what to do. The Royal manor i love the cocktail hour room & outside for ceremony. My only dislike is the main ballroom, only bc i'm more of an outdoorsy person, i was looking for something with at least a window or 2 to see outside. I also read some reviews saying that their food was not the best, so its scaring me. At The Brownstone, i absolutely love the large glass conservatory for our reception with the outside for the cocktail hour. My only concern is that we cannot have the ceremony there bc thers not enough room. So that leaves us with having to get married at another ceremony area or at a church (which i really dont want to do). Also the Brownstone has about 6-7 events going on at once, which i really dont like. The area isnt the greatest, although im not really bothered by that but not sure what my guests will think. Please anyone with any input please let me know, i only have a couple of days to decide and as of right now im leaning more towards Royal Manor. Thanks in advance :)

  • I just had my wedding at the Brownstone and I honestly can't say enough great things.  They had one other wedding there and an engagement party while my party was going on so it wasn't too bad.  We had our ceremony in the glass conservatory with cocktail hour in the bar area and reception in the main room downstairs.  The Brownstone was really accommodating with our numbers and even dropped their requirement for the minimum guarantee because we were married on a Friday night during lent.  I would talk to them to see what spaces they still have available for the ceremony.
