Turns out he lost my booking, deposit and contract. He is out of the country for the next 2 months. Holy eff....
He apologized and said he knows a couple other guys in the business and will make it right. He emailed me back a few hours later saying "Bryan, a guy i know will fill in, he's good, I work with him often" oy!
