The OP is devasted and heartbroken.  Those 2 words would tell me you broke up with your FI or someone has been injured/is sick/has died.  Nope.  She is devastated and heartbroken because her MOH can no longer host her shower because her child broke her arm and she has medical bills piling up.  OP was paying for a third of the shower already.  She is inconsolable that no one is throwing her a shower.  Not devastated that her dear friend has mounting medical bills, just that she isn't getting a shower.

    There is only like 3 people in there correcting her. Everyone else is saying it's okay to be sad and to ask someone else to do it!!!! It's not okay to be that sad about it. It's just a stupid party. Go be there for your friend. Oh my god. 

    SO FRUSTRATING 

    The only consolation I have is that people like that lose their friends pretty fast.

    Oh good Lord.  So many people on there are agreeing with her and saying she should rethink her bridal party.

    I don't understand how the few brides over there keep fighting the good etiquette fight.  I don't think I could do it.

    Oh my...People are suggesting she rethink her bridal party??!! This post is just sad to me. This girl needs to realize what is important in life. I cannot image asking anyone to throw me a shower! This whole post was insane to me.

    She's a turd. Seriously, your MOH's kid broke their arm and your whining about a damn shower?! FBIL broke his arm when he was younger and I am sure that cost FIL's a crap ton of money. Plus the poor kid is probably going through a lot, but oh heaven forbid bridey-brat doesn't get a shower from her MOH.

    I have a feeling that one of our own posted this amazing little comment to her:

    "We all want presents. I get it. But Santa's not real. Have your mom host or if she doesn't, host your own luncheon like someone suggested."

    Glad to see that not everyone on WW is a speshul snowflake (albeit 99.99% are).

    ETA: Her response: "I see on here about women that get a shower from each side of the family, or one for family and one for friends, then on top of that they get an engagement party and a work shower and a bachelorette party/weekend. The only thing i asked for was one bridal shower." I. Just. Can't.

    At least all she's throwing is a pity party; she could be throwing her own shower after throwing her MOH out of the wedding.

    I love that they managed to call out TK on there because we're all about etiquette. Because we're all SOOOOO awful over here for wanting to NOT come off like spoiled brats and actually care about the people in our lives.

    thanks :) Sadly, this isn't our first rodeo with the cancer thing. It just.....sucks......but I always appreciate the good vibes.

    I am so, so tired of all these people whining about their dream weddings being ruined because whatever lame reason it might be. I get it, showers are fun- but your life isn't over because you don't get one. All I care about with my wedding is that my dad attends. Everything else is just a cheery on the sundae. Perspective, people.

    What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

    ETA:  I don't think these people really have friends. There's no way in hell I'd be worried about that umm hello don't you still want these "friends" after "your speshul day?!?" The relationship is what matters to any sane person not the stupid party.

    How dare that MOH's kid break an arm.  What a little jerk.  She should have had her son's bones all replaced with a robotic skeleton so that he would be indestructible and therefore not get in the way of her greatest responsibility of all, throwing bridezilla a shower.  Clearly she's a horrible friend and the op should replace her, because how dare she pay medical bills, ugh!  All she really needs is tape and a stick, it's just a broken bone, DUH.  

    Sarcasm is the only way I can even begin to cope with the fact that there are really that many people who are truly that shallow and moronic as OP and the people agreeing with her.

    I just can't deal with WW and how useless logic is on that site
