Hudson Valley Wedding

Hi all,

This post are for those who are familiar with the Hudson Valley, more specifically: Dutchess County. I am getting married in Fishkill, NY and the reception is in Poughkeepsie,NY. Does anyone have any ideas of some nice places we can take photos between the ceremony and reception? I am at a loss here. The wedding is at the end of June of this year. Please let me know!

    You'll get better responses if you post this on your local board.

    Also, a good photographer should be able to find an attractive backdrop at either your ceremony site or your reception site so you don't have to waste time traveling. After all, the main point of these pictures is the people in them, so it doesn't really matter where they're taken.

    I would say somewhere down by the water in Poughkeepsie or possibly the train station.  I've seen some beautiful photos from there.

    Boscobel is also gorgeous in Cold Spring, but you might be going in the other direction.  But @emmyg65 is right, you definitely want to take travel time into account.  Are there no places to take photos at your venue?
