Honeymoon

Hi Ladies!

I was just curious when all of you are booking your honeymoon, and where you have decided to go (if you have decided yet).

We are thinking a week at an adults-only all-inclusive in Cancun/Riviera Maya. There's a couple resorts in mind but nothing completely decided yet.

    We probably won't book our honeymoon until the new year, but we've decided on Ireland! We're planning to rent a car and drive down the coast.

    We haven't booked anything yet (and I'm not sure when we will), but right now our current plan is Bora Bora.

    We will probably book sometime this summer. I want to wait until I can see the flight prices..... We are also thinking about going to Riviera Maya. So far we like Secrets Silversands

    We will be booking in mid July, we are renting a cabin in the mountains (which is still undecided) but I'm very excited for hiking!

    we were thinking about New Zealand but realized that we would lose a lot of exploring time in bed and have been tossing out warmer locations where we wouldn't mind "losing" that time.

    We have always wanted to go to Europe for our honeymoon (probably an Eastern Europe river cruise), but we don't think it will be in the budget right after the wedding.  So we will probably do a long weekend down the Jersey shore or get a B&B somewhere, then take our real honeymoon in the fall of 2015.

    @JCbride2014 - we were thinking Europe too, mostly Italy though. (And Australia, and Turks and Cacoas, and Costa Rica because it all depends on my mood... Who knows) but we're waiting until summer when schools out. Want to be able to actually take enough time to visit as many places as possible. Never though about a cruise though... @cmarr684 we got engaged at the Couples resort in Jamaica. It was absolutely beautiful there, and probably one of my favorite resorts ever. Just a suggestion.

    We're planning on going to Cartagena, Columbia. The mix of beautiful beaches, culture, and historical sights make it our dream honeymoon!

    I think we'll book after January, when we have a better grasp on our honeymoon budget. Right now we're considering British Virgin Islands, St Martin, Tahiti and Bahamas

    :D well. you know. Reality! NZ is a place we both want to visit but would be sad if we missed any of the places we want to explore. plus sweater recommendations is not what I want for my honeymoon.

    We have a couple timeshare searches out, but no availability in the places we want yet. We have searches set up in St. Lucia, Costa Rica, and Maui. If there's still nothing available by the end of summer, we'll widen the search to include Kauai too. I looooove Kauai, but it would be nice to go somewhere new with the new hubby and I've been there several times already.

    @swimchick713 My uncle gifted us his timeshare to us for our wedding, but a lot was booked. We searched through Interval International AND RCI. 

    But we were able to find a beautiful resort LUCKILY. Playa Grande in Cabo San Lucas. I'm glad he told us when he did because we we're close to booking something else ourselves. 

    We will probably take a second "honeymoon" the following fall with all the money my uncle saved us.

    I feel ya @cmarr684 ! This will be a gift from my parents and I am really excited to use it, but we need to find the right place. We are looking through Wyndham and RCI.

    I've only put down a deposit (this week actually!) for a 7-day Southern Caribbean cruise through Royal Caribbean. We've never done one before and what I loved about this route-only ONE day at sea! Every morning we will wake up in a new port, with a new beach! We'll be seeing St. Croix, St. Maarten, St. Lucia, Antigua, and Barbados. I still need to purchase air fare and final payment will be due in March.

    Yay we finally have our honeymoon booked! 7 days at the Makai Club Resort on the north shore of Kauai :) So excited!!! Time to start shopping for bikinis...

    Our plan at the moment is 2 weeks in Hawaii, but we haven't done much research yet. My aunt and uncle go frequently so we're going to meet up with them for recommendations :)

    I just started researching some options in Jamaica.  So far we are leaning towards Sandals Negril, We're probably going to meet with a travel agent sometime in the fall.
