Classic Rock Father Daughter Dances?

Okay, so dad isn't really into picking his own, but he is a big classic rock fan - ACDC, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd... he also loves Johnny Cash and the Beatles and whatnot. Problem, neither of us are good dancers, so I want to stick with a slow song... and one that is appropriate of course. I don't want to go sappy though. I'm having a really hard time finding one. Any suggestions? Any opinions on "In My Life" by the Beatles?

    In My Life is nice.

What about When You Need Me by Bruce Springsteen?

It should be a special moment for you and your dad, and doesn't have to be sappy ... and NO ONE will be judging your dancing - just enjoy it, and pick a song you both would like.

In My Life is a good choice ... but The Beatles have many that would be great.

Do any of these bring back memories for you, or would any of these mean something to your dad?(  Your DJ should be able to cut any of these short to suit you ...)

Golden Slumbers/Carry The Weight (could even cut at about 2 minutes to be short and sweet)
    I Will
    Imagine
    Let It Be
    Blackbird
    Here Comes The Sun
    Across The Universe
    Till There Was You
    Good Day Sunshine

Or if you want The Stones
    Time is on My Side
    or
She's a Rainbow would be fun for a couple minutes :-)

  • I have the same situation- my dad and I have a fairly close relationship and he has a diverse taste in music. My sister dance with him to In My Life and it was beautiful-

I've started working on a list and so far I have:
In Your Eyes - Peter Gabriel
    All My Love- Led Zeppelin
Lullaby (Goodnight my Angel)- Billy Joel (my dad likes this one but I'm pretty sure I will be a mess...)
