Mary Elliott- LOVE HER!

So FI and I had our cake tasting tonight... so fun!  Mary is awesome, her cakes are delicious. 

I think we've decided on almond cake w/ lemon curd filling, chocolate cake with raspperry jam filling, both with European buttercream icing.  DELICIOUS.  Just another reason I can't wait for July 16th!

We also tried vanilla cake with mocha filling, as well as vanilla cake with chocolate ganache filling.  We *almost* went with the vanilla/mocha, because they were all so good it was very hard to choose.  But after taking them home and my parents tasted them, my parents both really liked the choco/raspberry... my mom didn't like the mocha, but it's because she doesn't like coffee, and so we thought the chocolate/raspberry and almond/lemon choices would appeal to everyone a little more. 

So excited!  I can't wait to see the final product of the cake (FI was actually really into picking the design).  Going to be beautiful and delicious  :)  I was floored at how reasonable Mary's prices are, too.  She's just great.

    Yay! She is AWESOME. I am so excited for our wedding cake too! I think we did almond and lemon too :)

    Gina-she does not have a website as she bakes out of her home, but her email is tellgoofy5 [at] comcast [dot] net (someone correct me if I'm wrong!)

    Sounds great!!!!  It makes me want to eat some cake now! lol! I am doing almond with raspberry filling for my big tier.  I really like the almond flavor, I didn't think I would.

    Where is she based out of?  I already have a baker for our wedding, but I'm looking for someone to make a groom's cake for the RD.  I don't really want to pay a fortune for a delivery fee to Frederick, though.
