My mom called me yesterday and excitedly told me that her and my dad had gotten us our wedding gift. I told her they really didn't need to get us anything, but she shhhd me and then announced that her and my dad had booked a limo for us to ride from the ceremony to reception in and then to our hotel later. She said that she'd gotten one with 14 seats, exactly enough for us and our bridal party.
I love that my parents wanted to surprise us with this and think their gift is really sweet and generous. The only thing I'm concerned about is that it will be at etiquette faux paus because there isn't going to be room for the dates of the bridal party. I don't know if I should say something or not. I don't want to come across as "The limo you're getting us isn't big enough we need more!"
The dates may not even want to ride in the limo with us, because then that couples car would be stranded at the ceremony site, so maybe it's a non-issue - someone has to get the cars from the ceremony to the reception, right?
Thoughts?
