NWR: True Tori

So tonight's episode basically highlights that they're both terribly insecure, that he scored out of his league, and that he basically sabotaged their marriage by screwing around because he didn't believe he deserved to be with her and he didn't believe her when she told him she loved him and he was wonderful.

She deserves better.

    AMEN to that!!
  • Didn't watch, but that whole paragraph can be so, so true. My ex had a lot of that going on, and he did sabotage our relationship because of it.  Sounds like Tori definitely settled.
  • Absolutely. I haven't seen a full episode but have seen snippets on The Talk (literally on a weekly basis) and he just seems like such a douchebag. It's great that she wants to put the work in and try to fix things but he doesn't seem to genuinely want to be a better person. He kind of seems to feel sorry for himself and blame everything on his addiction and self-loathing. She deserves WAY better, and so do those four little ones!
  • So fill me in...did she really and totally NOT see any of this earlier, or ahead of time?  I know they were both married to other people when they got together, so I'm not sure how she thinks she can expect fidelity from him. But she's apparently been faithful (can't imagine her having an affair if she's always pregnant or chasing all those kids), while he ran around whoring himself out?  Is that what happened?
  • Poor Donna Martin. She probably should have seen it coming. But I'll bet she told herself that the reason her cheated with her was because they were meant to be and he'd never do that to her and blah blah blah.

I think he's a complete drama queen, (really his reaction when Tori talked about what she was doing while he was cheating... c'mon) He says exactly what a shamed spouse is supposed to say but I do not feel like he's genuine.  I mean, he couldn't even answer whether or not he felt horrible because he genuinely felt bad, or if it's because he got caught.  Admittedly, I've watched every one of their reality shows and really liked the two of them together... now it all feels so faked on his part. Especially now that Tori is admitting they have had these problems with his drinking for years.... None of that was apparent on any other reality show they've had.

Um, didn't he cheat on his ex-wife with Tori? Shouldn't that have been a red flag?

I know it's not always true, but typically tigers can't change their stripes.

She's admitted in the series (only three episodes so far) that she always had trust issues, knowing that they were both married to other people when the got together. She said in one of the episodes, 'Because of how our relationship started, I always wonder if he's going to do it again. I always wonder who he's talking to. If I see another girl's phone number, I ask, 'Who is this?''

It seems like she's always been waiting for the other shoe to drop, waiting for him to do this.

In last night's episode, she said that everything started changing when they had their first kid, because suddenly it wasn't just 'Tori and Dean,' it was 'Tori, Dean, and Liam.'

Dean clearly has MAJOR issues -- emotional, psychological, addiction, whatever -- and I think he can conquer them, but I think he has to want to, and I don't think he wants to conquer them so much as he doesn't want to lose her and his meal ticket.

  • Rumor has it the entire affair was staged to bring their reality careers back to life. They have already been caught in some lies.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

I heard that they were saying it was made up too, it just seems so raw and real I can't imagine Tori Spelling is that great of an actress.. and if it this does turn out to be a hoax she deserves an oscar.

However, she has manipulated a lot for her career it wouldn't be a total shocker.  Do you know what they've already been caught in??

Edited:   The formatting was SO off on this.

I read her last book and she was hospitalized for months and almost died... I wonder how he survived that!! (eyeroll)

  • I watch all their reality crap, too, so I was kind of bummed to find out this whole thing might be bullshit. I was feeling really bad for her.

  • If it does turn out to be BS, I'm going to be both disappointed (I was feeling bad for her, and thinking she deserved better) and impressed as hell (because I didn't think EITHER of them was capable of that level of acting.)
