Freaking out. Talk me down from a ledge!!

I was doing fine and dandy planning the wedding with the expectation of it being next fall. Fiance decides why wait and wants to get hitched on 2/15. I amp up my planning mode but as I'm reaching out to vendors, I'm realizing I have no idea what time is a normal time for a ceremony. People will be driving back Monday afternoon, so I was thinking 3pm Sunday for the ceremony? Give us enough time to do the photos and strip tour before getting back to the suite in time for a dinner reception. Does that sound right? Or should it be later? We are going up there the 13th and 14th of June to put down deposits. I go between feelings of excitement and giddiness to anxiety attacks.

  • we are getting married at 2:30pm on a sunday, that way people have enough time to catch the 5:30pm flight

  • We are having a Saturday ceremony so that our guests can fly out Friday night, and fly back Sunday - that way they don't have to miss any work. Our ceremony is at 4PM at a hotel chapel, then 1/2 hour of photos, then dinner at 5PM at the hotel restaurant. I prefer to have all the events, ceremony and reception/dinner back to back and all in one place so that my guests don't have to worry about transportation or what to do with themselves for a couple hours. Some are experienced travelers and Vegas enthusiasts, and some are newbies so I can't expect them to be able to navigate around on their own too much.
  • I think 3pm is an ideal time, plenty of time to get ready in the morning, enough time for photos/ tour after the ceremony and plenty of time for your reception. My ceremony was at 3.
