Projector at wedding

Hi ladies,
First time I post. So went to go check in with our reception hall today (rockleigh) and we mentioned we had same day edit for video so our lady says that the projector is extra. We were surprised since we have the Uplighting package. Anyway we call up the company in charge and they say it's 550 for 2 hours. That's ridiculous!! We already dished out extra money for all these extra features with our photo and video vendors. Is anyone else running into this problem?? If so what did you guys do what kind of prices did you guys get??

I would appreciate help since no one I know had this problem and I'm just not sure how much something like this should cost even though the project is already installed and it's just a matter of pushing a button!! So frustrating

Thank you!!

    Two hours of video?

Can't help you with pricing, but please tell us that the video is supposed to run in the background and not be something you turn out the lights and ask guests to watch.  There may be a few exceptions, but most guests won't appreciate that.

No no, not two ours of video haha. The video will be like 2 minutes. The projector services are $550 for 2 hours. Pictures will be streaming through in the background the remainder of the time.

One of the add-ons my DJ offered was two large video projector screens (for a "through the years" video, pics from the ceremony, live video of dancing guests, etc), it was about $1,000 extra for 4 hours. Hubby and I didn't add it on, since we don't like any of that at weddings, but the price sounds similar to the one you got.

Ok, that sounds a lot better.  Hard to tell what's a reasonable price though...$550 for 2 hours comes to $1100 for four hours, which sounds like @eileenrob's.  That's probably reasonable.

I don't quite understand why you'd want to show a 2 minute video edit of a ceremony/reception thus far that the viewers have attended that day and seen in person!  It seems a bit AWish.  I'd save the money.
  • I would take it as a sign that I shouldn't do it.
