Fun Invites for Scrapbook!

So since everything has been getting crazier and crazier with our weddings all coming up REALLY soon (16 days for us!), I thought it would be fund to send out our extra/left over invites to all those "famous" people that I hear send you back a little congratulatory letter (yay for scrapbooking!). Has anyone else done this? If so, who did you send to? I've mine going out today for the President, the Pope, the Queen of England, Mickey & Minnie Mouse, and Cinderella & Prince Charming.

I've heard of people sending them to the Pope to be blessed. I think it's a cute idea. I made my own invites and they took me forever and cost a small fortune to mail locally so this probably wouldn't be something I would do just because of time and money. If you get any back from anyone you have to tell us though!

What was in February, and so far I have heard back from only Mickey and Minnie

Only heard back from Minnie and Mickey so far. They sent a cute postcard that I can post a picture of later. Also mailed one to the Obama's, but I heard those take up to 6 months to come back.

FYI... I was told that the Queen will only respond to residents of the United Kingdom, but I could be wrong.

I've heard of people sending theirs to celebrities also! We are sending out some of the extra's this week. Mickie & Minnie are definitely on the list!

Instead of sending to Mickey & Minnie - sending one to Goofy as he's my favorite and I'd rather have an autographed photo of him

Also sending one to our favorite singers - Jimmy Neeham - our song is one of his so i thought it would be fun to send him an invite. Who knows maybe he'll surprise us and show up for a serenade! (wishful thinking!)

We got ours from the President today! Not too bad, only about a week after our wedding....still waiting to hear from the Pope, Queen, & Mickey lol
