Okay so I am terrible about checking to see if things are getting purchased off our registry.. I know its bad but I can't help my curiosity! I went to a wedding for a good friend this past weekend and he asked me why hardly anything had been purchased yet :( I registered at BB&B and Target and so far it seems more people are heading to Target (got everything at the shower from the Target registry and a ton of Target gift cards).. the only issue with this is that the majority of our registry is at BB&B... so now I am slightly concerned that we won't have any gift cards to go complete our registry at BB&B and more than we need for Target. Would it be crazy to switch things from one to the other at the last minute? I just hate to miss out on getting the discount when we go in to complete the registries. sigh.. I know it all probably sounds crazy and materialistic but my fiance and I literally have nothing (we've both been living with family to save money) and need pretty much everything on our registries. I was very strict with myself and only put things on their that we really needed. It just makes me a little panicky when I pull it up and is says 12 days until your wedding and only 4 items have been purchased!

    I would try not to worry about it too much. Most people are last minute shoppers and I bet a couple of days before your wedding stuff will start being purchased.

    I totally understand! I am horrible about looking too and the main item(s) that I would like is new bedding from BB&B. (FI has a king size bed that we will be using but an ugly green corderoy comforter that MUST be replaced.) We got very few items from our registery at the shower and only one from BB&B (it was the matching sheets which is great, but i LOVE the new set we choose and really really hope to get it).

    anywho - hopefully your guests are just late shoppers and you are able to get what you need with your discount afterwards. Good luck!

    Yeah don't stress, and like the other women said, quite a few people are late shoppers.  Heck I figure if they can't get the RSVP card in a decent amount of time, what makes me think they can shop in a decent amount of time! :D

    I look all the time!!  We have a TON of stuff left on our registry, and the wedding is this Saturday!  I know my dad just got me his gift today, so i am pretty sure all my guests are late shoppers!  And/or cash givers...
    I would just leave it as is.

    I look all the time. Some may not like this but I actually went through both our registries and added the leftover items to both registries. This was we can use the discount/ gift cards at whichever store has the item cheaper. My area is primarily cash-giving for the actual wedding, so I don't expect any duplicate gifts at the wedding. Actually after the shower not much got purchased.

    I just got the coupon for our completion discount at TARGET...but we got everything-and then some-off our registry! And we got over $300 in gift cards. If you really want to, you can use your Target gift cards/registry returns to buy a Visa gift card and use it at another store.

    FWIW, our registries were: Target, Macy*s, BB&B, and REI. Listed in the order of gifts received. BB&B just doesn't have as many brick-and-mortar stores as Target and Macy*s.
