Plus size undergarments????

I'm sure this has been posted, I just can not seem to find it anywhere...

I'm not sure what to look for when it comes to undergarments for my dress. My dress has a corset back but is only fitted in the bodice to just above my natural waist. Because my dress is not fitted down very far, I'm thinking I can forgo the spanx because my spare tire roll is hardly noticeable. Plus I am a person that is always hot and sweating, ALWAYS! And I know I would be very warm in high waist spanx. So I am thinking if I can find a good longline bra I should be fine, problem is that I am tall and all the ones that I am finding are short in length and hit me above my "spare tire" causing that area to be more noticeable. I really don't want to have to wear the longline bra and spanx! That would be way to hot and I would be too uncomfortable.

Does anyone know where you can get longline bras that have a longer bodice for those of us who are taller? Where is the best place to shop for plus size undergarments? So far what I have seen searching online is that the brand Va Bien seems to be the best??

You should be able to just wear the longline, and a nice pair of control top panties, and it should keep everything tucked in. I skipped spanx, and just did that.

Depending on how your dress is, could you potentially have cups sewn in (others have even just had a bra sewn in). If there is enough structure in the dress (which I'm guessing it has because it is a corset back and I'm assuming strapless) you may not need the long line bra. Does the shop you purchased your dress from have long line bras? Perhaps you could ask them to show you the dress with different options.

I'm guessing that the bridal shop does have them, as they ask me every time I go to try the dress on if I need one, but I do not know if they have them to purchase. It's something I will have to ask them about.

@QueerFemme- did you like that bra? I've had it in my Amazon shopping cart for a while but the one review was mediocre. It looks perfect but I'm always anxious about buying things like this online.

I LOVED that bra @wandajune6 I did have to get the cups altered slightly, because they went above my dress, but the seamstress was able to alter the cups for $10.00. It worked like a charm.

I'll have to check it out. I need one for under my dress but I really want a new strapless for this summer. I suspect a longline will make quite a few summer dresses more flattering! Plus, it's nice to be able to wear it a few times to make sure it's comfortable!

You're near Milwaukee right? Go here...she is my new favorite person. I went in for a long line bra and walked out with two more bras. I'm going to go back to see her after the wedding again.

I Bought my own longline bra at HerRoom.com So far loving it, I needed extra support around midsection as well. Prices were reasonable unlinke spanx, and it came in mail early.
