XP - I'm a little annoyed and need to vent

So I'm getting married in 5 days (yay!) and my venue still hasn't given me a total for our reception. I have a general idea of the costs, but I've been asking him for something for at least 3 weeks (when I gave him our final numbers) and still nothing. I called him again this morning and he said he would have something to me within the hour, but that was 2 hours ago. Do they not want to get paid?

    I hate that!  I had to chase my photographer down to take our payments.  So strange.

    I'm in the process of sending my venue my final numbers and seating.  I'm hoping they don't take too long to give me an answer back.  Especially because I have to go to the bank and get them a certified check.

    Ugh. We have had the chasing down people problem with DJs.  I don't know what it is about them, but trying to get a hold of one of them is like pulling teeth.  Huge pain, and we finally just had to pay a ton of money to a service so we would always have someone to at least get back to us.  Good luck and I would just keep bugging them.  Even though I totally don't think you should have to.

    Thanks girls! It is annoying that I have to chase them down to give them money. The worst part is this is literally the last thing that I have to do so if he would just give me a number I can write him a check and I won't have a single left to do for my wedding!

    We're 12 days out and our florist won't take our money either. He better do it soon, or I'm spending it on honeymoon upgrades! (Kidding of course)

    My venue got right back to me with the numbers for our final payment.  It was lower than I was expecting but I won't complain.

    Now I'm just waiting on all the other vendors to cash their checks.  That is one of my biggest pet peeves.  Cutting people a check and them taking forever to cash it.

    Ok so after 15 e-mails back and forth and me piecing together the little bits of information he gave me in each one and the questions that he answered for me I was able to add everything together myself and get a total. That was so ridiculously unnecessary and frustrating. I hope he doesn't treat everyone that way that books events there. 

    Now I can give him money though and I am officially done with wedding planning :)

    @tammym1001 That's great!!!  All of my vendors are paid (still waiting for some to cash checks)  

    I was stressing about money for awhile.  I was worried about paying off the rest of the wedding, deposit for an apartment, and furnishing it.  Thankfully with careful planning it's all worked out.
